In the course of arranging credit, a lender or we (with your consent) may obtain a credit report about you from a credit reporting body. Credit reporting bodies may include Equifax, Experian and illion. These bodies may include information about you in reports provided to other credit providers to assist them in assessing your creditworthiness.
You have the right to request access to the credit-related information we hold about you, to request its correction, and to ask a credit reporting body not to use your information for direct marketing or pre-screening. You may also request that a credit reporting body not use or disclose your information if you believe you have been, or are likely to be, a victim of fraud.
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes the use of secure systems provided through our licensee's platforms, which are certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2 standards, along with restricted access to physical and digital records and ongoing staff security training.
We retain your information for as long as required to provide our services and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations — generally at least seven years after our engagement ends — after which it is securely destroyed or de-identified.
