Required information about who we are, the services we provide, how we're paid, and what to do if you have a concern. Please read this before we provide you with credit assistance.
This Credit Guide is issued by A.C.N. 700 796 729 Pty Ltd, trading as 4ONE4 Capital ("we", "us", "our"), of Level 5, 151 Pirie Street, Adelaide SA 5000. Our Director is Ben Clarke.
We are a credit representative of LMG Broker Services Pty Ltd (ACN 632 405 504, ABN 67 632 405 504), which holds Australian Credit Licence 517192 issued under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth) ("NCCP Act"). LMG Broker Services Pty Ltd is our licensee and aggregator.
As a credit representative, we are authorised to engage in credit activities on behalf of our licensee, including providing credit assistance to consumers seeking finance. 4ONE4 Capital is independently owned and operated; no bank or lender holds an ownership interest in our business.
We provide credit assistance in relation to residential home loans, refinancing, investment property lending, construction lending, SMSF lending, commercial and business finance, asset and equipment finance, and access to private and alternative capital sources. We do this by suggesting, or assisting you to apply for, one or more credit products from our lender panel that may be suitable to your needs and objectives.
Through our licensee we have access to a panel of more than 100 banks and lenders, spanning major and regional banks, credit unions, specialist and non-bank lenders, commercial lenders, asset finance providers and private or alternative capital sources. Panel composition changes over time and not every lender or product is available for every loan type, client circumstance, or Australian state or territory. We do not act as your representative or agent when dealing with lenders unless we have agreed otherwise with you in writing, and we do not compare every lender or product in the market.
Where we provide credit assistance in relation to a credit contract secured by a mortgage over residential property, we are legally required under the NCCP Act to act in your best interests, and to prioritise your interests over our own (or those of any related party, referrer or lender) where there is a conflict. We will explain the options we considered, why we have recommended a particular product, and how that recommendation serves your objectives, financial situation and needs.
We are also required to make reasonable inquiries into your requirements, objectives and financial situation, and to verify that information, before suggesting a credit product. We must not suggest a credit contract that would be unsuitable for you.
In most cases we are paid by the lender — not by you — once your loan settles. This typically includes:
Exact commission rates vary by lender and product, and will be disclosed to you in writing (in dollar or percentage terms) in the Credit Proposal Disclosure Document provided before you proceed with an application. Our licensee, LMG Broker Services Pty Ltd, may also receive payments from lenders in connection with our accreditation and access to their products, and retains a share of the commission paid.
We do not charge you a fee for a standard residential home loan in most circumstances. Where a fee for service may apply — for example on some commercial, asset finance, private or complex lending scenarios — we will disclose this to you in writing before you incur any cost, including the amount and how it is calculated.
From time to time we may also receive non-monetary benefits from lenders or our licensee, such as training, professional development, software or conference attendance. Where such a benefit could reasonably be expected to influence the credit assistance we provide you, we will disclose it.
If you are referred to us by a third party, we may pay that referrer a fee or share of commission. Where this applies, it will be disclosed to you in writing.
We collect, use, hold and disclose your personal and credit information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including Part IIIA (credit reporting). Please read our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect, why, who we may share it with (including our licensee LMG Broker Services Pty Ltd, lenders, mortgage insurers, and credit reporting bodies), and how to access or correct your information.
Your information is handled on platforms certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2 information security standards.
We hold professional indemnity insurance that meets the requirements of the NCCP Act and our licensee's obligations, covering claims relating to credit assistance we have provided, including where relevant conduct occurred while we were authorised.
